Next Monday, August 29th, you will present the information you've found about your author to the class. This presentation is an informal presentation. In other words, I want you to imagine that you are the in-house expert on your author and you are simply having a conversation with colleagues about your area of expertise.
In preparation for this presentation, you should create a blog post over the weekend, and submit it to the blog by Sunday night at 9pm. Your blog post MUST include 1) a brief written sketch of your author. The form of this sketch is up to you! You may write an imaginary interview with the author, an analysis of the author's style, a review of the author's work, or any other creative approach to sharing information in blog format. Your blog post MUST include 2) one or more links to further information or writing by the author, and 3) a photo or video that relates in some way to the author.
Note: I am being intentionally vague, to some extent, about these instructions, because I want you to establish your own authority (to become an author!), and because I'm curious to see what you do. Remember that the best blog posts typically do not exceed 1,000 words, so they require you to hook the reader quickly. Finally, if you have one of the more obscure authors, do not consider that a limitation. Often having less information frees you to think creatively.
Have fun! I can't wait to comment on your posts.
