Personal Responsibility- I think that personal responsibility is the responsibility that a person has for their actions. You have to take responsibility for your actions.
Moral Responsibility- Is responsibility, or moral obligations that a person has. You are responsible of following your morals.
Collective Responsibility- Is responsibility were there is more than one individual responsible for something.
Personal Responsibility: A person’s accountability for their words, actions, and beliefs. They must own up to everything they put out in the world as their own opinion. This responsibility functions on an individual basis and is subject to variation.
Moral Responsibility: A person’s beliefs about the way they act and what their standards are. This changes with every person depending on what is believed. Moral responsibility is a feeling inside.
Collective Responsibility: A group’s accountability; not individuals. The collaboration of each person results in a accountability for anything another member of the group does.
1. Personal Responsibility- Agreeing with Annie, I think that personal responsibility is taking the blame or fault of your own actions. I also believe that personal responsibility comes from how responsible you are with your things. For example, if Marie was truly responsible, then she would not of forgotten a Franc for the fairy-ride home. Thus, preventing her from from going into the forest and getting murdered. In a way she did pay; not with a Franc, but instead with her life.
2. Moral Responsibility- I think that moral responsibility is different for everyone depending on his or her own values. Also, it is doing what is morally right. For example, telling the truth and NOT lying will get you a lot farther in life than having to live a life full of lies. This relates to the story, "Argument and Persuasion" because Marie could have avoided this whole ordeal by being honest with Raoul and actually tell him she was cheating on him, although he knew she was and he was too. Lets be honest, she should not have been cheating on him in the first place! (And he should not of either!)
3. Collective Responsibility- I think that collective responsibility is everyone as a group acting responsibly, everyone's influence on how to act responsible. For example, ( I'm just saying what I think) If Marie was responsible, then she would have remembered a Franc for the ferry-ride home. If the ferry-man was responsible, then he could of let her go without paying, but he claims he was just following the rules. If Pierre was responsible, he could have spared a Franc for Marie, instead of being lazy and not getting out of bed. If all of these scenarios were true, then Marie's life would have been saved.
Personal responsibility? I think every individual is responsible for the things he/she decides to do. The choices that they make, good or bad, are theirs to be accountable for.
Moral responsibility? People’s moral responsibility revolves around their beliefs. Everyone has a different system of values according to the people they surround themselves with. I also think morality comes from an individual’s point of view (whether it is through religion or their country’s laws).
Collective responsibility? I think that in any situation everything traces back to the people that were involved. They share a collective responsibility for whatever occurred.
Personal Responsibility - a person's accountability for their own actions. ex) stealing a car, doing drugs
Moral Responsibility - a person's duty to live a genuinely good lifestyle, which is based on what you believe is right as oppose to what you know is morally wrong. ex) murdering someone, cheating on a spouse
Collective Responsibility - a group of people who all share the same one concern. ex) two lab partners working together to get a good grade on their lab report
Personal Responsibility: To me, this means taking responsibility for actions that you've committed. If you make a mistake you need to take responsibility for your actions
Moral Responsibility: We all have morals, we all follow our beliefs. This is following your beliefs/morals.
Collective Responsibility: This is the responsibility of a group. One person is not responsible. This is responsibility of a group of people.
Personal Responsibility is the obligation you have towards the actions or choices that were decided by yourself. Moral Responsibility is the idea that a person has moral and ethical obligations in certain situations. Collective Responsibility is the concept that somebody can be responsible for another person or peoples' actions if they tolerate or ignore them without doing anything about it. An example of this would be a bystander to a bullying attempt. They are responsible for not stopping the bully, simply for not doing anything to stop the incident from occurring.
Personal responsibility would be a person that is culpable for their individual actions. They have each of their own responsibilities to fulfill that is only about their own necessities or obligations.
Moral responsibility are the actions of someone that is considered morally correct by the most widely accepted conduct. It's the form of responsibility that can be taken up by anyone as long as what they do is moral or ethical under their framework.
Collective responsibility would be the obligation of a group of people and what they have to be responsible for, or manage. The collective responsibility doesn't rest on one person, but rather on a group of people, hence the term "collective" responsibility.
Personal responsibility is your responsibility to take care of you self. This not only means keeping yourself healthy but keeping your actions in check.
Moral responsibility would be the responsibility of your actions towards someone else that were morally wrong.
Collective responsibility would be a group's responsibility for either each other or something they were put in charge of.
I would define personal responsibility as a persons responsibility to take care of themselves. This does not just mean to buy groceries, but extends to things like not blaming others for your mistakes or faults and making sure you aren't hurting others.
Moral responsibility is the type of responsibility that uses a persons morals. For example, some would say that people have a moral responsibility to help all the homeless on the streets. Moral responsibility varies from person to person becaue people have different beliefs of what is morally right or wrong. When someone is morally responsible for something it is because they did something morally wrong while moral responsibility has a more neutral connotation.
Collective responsibility seems to have two separate yet related meanings to me. First is the obligation that a group has to make sure that something gets done. Second is that if something bad happens it is because a lack of responsibility from the group as a whole and that one personal can't be justly blamed.
Personal responsibility: I believe this to be when a person is liable for their actions. It is taking responsibility for yourself and doing the necessary things that you have to do in your life.
Moral responsibility: I think this is the responsibility to follow your morals. A person has moral responsibility to make the right decision in a situation that can be morally wrong.
Collective responsibility: This is when a group of people have a responsibility to each other to get something done or to fulfill an action. An example of this is any kind of sports team. They all have a collective responsibility to each other to always work hard and help each other out in games.
Personal Responsibility: This is your accountability for what you do and what you say. It is also your accountability for your lifestyle and all your choices.
Moral Responsibility: This is your accountability for your moral choices that you make. It is a type of personal responsibility, but it deals with personal morals. An example is choosing whether to lie in a situation or not.
Collective responsibility: This is a groups accountability together. This regards their responsibilities of the actions of individual people in the group and the actions they perform as a whole.
Personal Responsiblility- Personal Responsibility means being held accountable for your own actions. However, it also means having reponsibilities to yourself, such as taking care of your body or not stressing yourself out.
Moral Responsibility- Moral responsibility means your responsibilities to be true to your own morals. It also means being held accountable not just for your actions, but for the reasoning behind them.
Collective Responsibility- Collective responsiblilty means a whole group of people being held accountable for their individual actions that lead to one collective outcome.
Personal Responsibility - This means holding yourself accountable for the decisions you make and their consequences. It also pertains to the responsibility you owe yourself and the things that are important to you. This could mean forcing yourself to go to bed, taking care of your family, etc. Moral Responsibility - This means, essentially, doing the right thing when no one is looking. Moral responsibility differs from personal because it is more of a certain moral code that all humans should follow in certain situations. For example, asking someone who is crying in the airport if they are OK or writing a note on someone's car if you hit it. Collective Responsibility - The cumulation of everyone's personal responsibilities pertaining to a certain situation in which multiple people affect the outcome. For example, if a cheerleader falls out of a stunt, the whole group is collectively responsible for the stunt not hitting: it is not just the flyer's fault.
Personal Responsibility: Is being accountable for your own actions. Doing the things that it take to succeed in our life.
Moral Responsibility: Is the responsibility to make the right decision in the toughest of situations. It also means being responsible for that decision.
Collective Responsibility: Means being responsible as a group for the decision made at that time and moment. Thinking into the future about the consequences that could follow.
Personal responsibility is a responsibility to yourself. This includes accountability for your own actions as well as holding the responsibility to make right decisions for you. Marie neglects her personal responsibility as a wife by cheating on her husband, Raoul, with Pierre. Moral responsibility is not as personal and can be more easily influenced by others. You get your morals by how you were raised and what you learned as a child, so it's more of a responsibility that matters on influence. Moral responsibility is doing what's right in general. Collective responsibility is the idea that all decisions are based on a collection of different people's influences. For example, in the text, it is not only one person's fault Marie died, all of them had a part in it. The same goes for if, for example, a man goes crazy and kills a bunch of people, one could argue that it wasn't only the man's fault. Occasions leading up to the event, for example say he was bullied a lot, lead up to the event. So if maybe he wasn't bullied he wouldn't have done that, so it was the responsibility of a group of people that all these people died, because it was them that pushed the man to do it.
Personal responsibility is realizing the consequences of her own actions. For example, in the story, many of the circumstances that led to Marie's death were beyond her control and not her fault. However, if she had acted differently or not done some of the things she had done, it could have prevented the murder. She wasn't the only person who had the power to prevent the murder, but if she had acted differently, she would have. Moral responsibility is doing what's right. All of the people in the story had a moral responsibility, something that they should have done simply because it's right. Raoul's was to be faithful to his wife, Marie's was to be faithful to her husband, Pierre's was to stop being lazy, wake up and lend Marie a franc, the Ferryman's was to trust that Marie would pay him back and take her across the river, and the Murderer's was to show mercy. However, none of them handled their moral responsibility, but if even one of them had, it would have prevented the murder. Collective responsibility is the concept that anyone who could have prevented something such as this murder but failed to is at fault. All of them are collectively responsible.
Personal responsibility is what you take upon yourself. When you assume personal responsibility, you take blame o credit for your actions and their consequences. For example, doing or not doing an assignment for a group is your personal responsibility. Moral responsibility is how the actions of a person have a direct or indirect impact on the out come of an event. For example, pressuring someone into doing something illegal, and them getting caught, puts the moral responsibility on you. The responsibility is on you because your choice to make them participate let to their being caught, and possibly ruining their lives. Collective responsibility is the culmination of what happens thanks to a group of people that each have a different part in the event. when each person does his part, the collective result is placed on all of their shoulders. Like in argument and persuasion, the choices the men; Raoul, to go to Paris, to cheat on his wife; Pierre, to not let Marie into his house after waking up from her knocking; Ferryman, to not let Marie cross the river, result in the death of Marie as she tries to run through the murderer's forest. The results of the decisions of all these characters lead to Marie's death.
Personal Responsibility- This means being responsible for your own actions. You should hold yourself accountable for what goes on in your life and not blame others. For example, it's my personal responsibility to do my homework.
Moral Responsibility- I think this is ethical-doing what's right. For your moral responsibility you should follow your morals and ethics. In the story we read hardly any character shows moral responsibility. Pierre, Raoul, and Marie all have affairs, while the murderer kills someone and the ferryman doesn't let Marie on the boat knowing she will die.
Collective responsibility- this is the responsibility of a group, basically something that is incumbent upon everyone. In Argument and Persuasion all of the characters share collective responsibility for Marie's death.
Personal Responsibility- I consider personal responsibilities to be general rules of conduct that everyone should act by. The laws, in my opinion, are personal responsibilities. For example, everyone has a personal responsibility not to murder or steal.
Moral Responsibility- I think moral responsibilities are responsibilities that you think are the right thing to do. You may be allowed to do something, but you have a moral responsibility not to do it. For example, although some people can put up their children for adoption, others feel that they have a moral responsibility to care for that child, instead of just giving it away (I don't know if that is the best example...). Everyone has their own set of moral responsibilities, although many probably overlap.
Collective Responsibility- Collective Responsibility is when individuals are held responsible for other people's actions by tolerating or ignoring them, with out directly initiating the action.
Personal Responsibility- I believe that this is the responsibility that you have to yourself. This includes controlling your actions, trying your hardest, and other actions that relate to you.
Moral Responsibility- I think that your moral responsibility is your responsibility to stay true to your morals and stand up for what you believe is wrong according to your own morals.
Collective Responsibility- I consider collective responsibility to be the responsibility that a group has when they are associated with each other.
Personal Responsibility- I think that personal responsibility is the responsibility that a person has for their actions. You have to take responsibility for your actions.
ReplyDeleteMoral Responsibility- Is responsibility, or moral obligations that a person has. You are responsible of following your morals.
